EM plus Technology is a technology which uses positive effects of beneficial microorganisms in all segments of organic and conventional agriculture both in enriching the soil biological activity and having a positive impact on plants as a whole. It also maintains and improves the quality of the environment.
Available products:
The soil needs to be treated in the preparatory phase or following the removal of a precrop if the soil is processed mechanically to plant new crops (garden plants). The treatment should consist of spraying the EM formulations at the target surface right before a soil processing treatment is undertaken (ploughing, rototilling, harrowing, etc).
Prescribed dosage per hectare:
The treatment should be performed either in the morning or in the evening and NOT when the sun or wind is strong.
Irrigation system
Dosing beneficial microorganisms in the drip irrigation system is done in order to optimise the level of the soil moisture and its availability to the plant root system, but also to prevent the accumulation of the water calculus in the system itself.
The treatment should be repeated in 15 to 30 days interval with the following dosage:
Seed treatment
It is recommended to treat seeds by using beneficial microorganisms in order to disinfect them, stimulate sprouting and harmonised growth.
Application method:
SjEMe Aktiv should be diluted in water with 1:50 ratio.
The seed may be dipped into diluted solution (for smaller quantities) or sprayed and stirred.
Necessary soaking time:
• small grains seed – 10 minutes
• medium grains seed – up to 30 minutes
• large grain seed – up to 1 hour
This step should be done immediately prior to the sowing, and then proceed with the standard sowing method.
Seedling treatment
Seedlings should be treated immediately before planting, so that a seedling would be as wet as possible before it is planted. This procedure would foster the seedlings’ growth and rooting as well as the plants’ later development due to more efficient photosynthesis process.
By preventing the growth of phytopathogenic organisms, the seedling is protected from diseases in the first phase of growth following replanting.
Application method:
Substrate treatment
The treatment of substrate used for the production of seedling material in a container which is based on beneficial microorganisms aims at:
The dosage needed per m3 of substrate
Foliar treatment in the vegetation period
Foliar treatment with beneficial microorganisms in the vegetation period aims at:
It is necessary to do the treatment several times during vegetation period, particularly in the important phases of the seedling - fruit/vegetable growth and development. The basic treatment of the leaves surface and the fruit/vegetable is done using the formulation EM Aktiv, and it is desirable to combine it with the formulation Terrafert. The period between two treatments will be different, will depend on the phase which the seedlings or fruits/vegetables are in and it will range from 7 to 14 days.
Necessary concentration per treatment:
The treatment should be performed either in the morning or in the evening and NOT when the sun or wind is strong.
EM plus products may be combined with other types of fertilizers (water soluble) or plant protection products (herbicides, pesticides, etc) and if this is the case, it is mandatory to pay attention to the withholding period of those products.
EM products DO NOT HAVE a withholding period when they are used independently and they are not harmful for bees.
